Automatic Payment Plan

Nelnet Business Solutions is a third-party company offering an Automatic Payment Plan [APP] for monthly tuition management that provides a low-cost plan for budgeting tuition and fees. The cost to budget payments through APP is a $25.00 per semester, nonrefundable enrollment fee. APP is not a loan program; therefore, you have no interest or finance charges assessed, and there is no credit check.

Monthly payments through APP are made automatically through your checking, savings, or credit card account. The amount of the payment is a pre-determined amount which is approved by signing the Automatic Tuition Payment Agreement Form. Payments made through credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), checking, or savings account will be processed on either the 5th or the 20th of the month. Automatic electronic payments help budget education expenses in a convenient way while ensuring that Utah State University will receive dependable and consistent tuition payments. Automatic payments also save the time and expense of writing and mailing checks.

To take advantage of the APP tuition management payment program, simply complete the agreement form available at the Utah State University Brigham City Campus. Agreement forms need to be submitted to the Utah State University Cashier Office at least 30 days before the first payment date. Utah State University Brigham City Campus will forward the agreement form to Nelnet Business Solutions. Once Nelnet has received your agreement form, they will send you a letter confirming the monthly payment amount and the date payments are to begin.

If you should miss a payment, you will receive a letter from Nelnet Business Solutions with instructions on handling the missed payment. A $25.00 returned-payment fee will be assessed if a payment is returned. This fee is charged by Nelnet Business Solutions to offset the higher fees assessed by the bank when your payment is missed

If you have any changes to your schedule which will affect the amount of your tuition, please contact the Utah State University Brigham City Cashier Office so your payment amount can be adjusted or your APP contract cancelled.
