2008 Angels for Christmas
The 2008 Angels for Christmas project provided a much brighter Christmas for approximately 1,200 children from 425 families in Box Elder County.
Many Box Elder entities partnered with Utah State University Brigham City as screening agencies. These agency partnerships are essential for verifying eligibility and for spreading the word to families in need.
This year Warm the Soles, an organization consisting of America First Credit Union, Box Elder County Credit Union, Members First Credit Union, and USU Charter Credit Union, provided nearly 400 pairs of shoes for the project. They also sponsored many children and donated additional gifts, money, and time to ensure that no children were turned away.
Autoliv sponsored nearly 300 children; ATK, Bear River High School Student Council, Brigham City Corporation/Police Department, Curves, J&D Family Restaurant, LDS Perry 7th and 8th Wards, Malt-o-Meal, Scott & Robyn Reese, Starlite Dance Company, The Peak, Tremonton Kiwanis Club, and Wal-Mart Distribution Center were also significant contributors – sponsoring 100-225 angels.
Utah State University Brigham City is proud to be a part of the incredible Box Elder community whose citizens and businesses helped make Christmas 2008 more enjoyable for many children.
