Classroom Center Open House

On Thursday, September 28, 2006, state and local dignitaries, and the public attended the new East Building Open House.  Students, staff, and faculty gave guided tours of the new facilities which include a fitness center, childcare facility, break room, and many state-of-the-art classrooms.

Building design and artwork was coordinated by Tom Graham, Utah State University architect.  Photographs by Barry Parsons, a photography instructor at Utah State University Brigham City, were displayed along the hallway. Also adorning the hallway were pictures created by our "Little Aggies" from the childcare center.

Former County Commissioner Royal Norman and his wife, Elaine, from Corinne, were two of the guests in attendance.  Norman was a Box Elder County commissioner when the state bought the building many years ago. He stated, "It's been marvelous, and a wonderful investment for those in our community."  His wife further commented that the building was "very impressive."

After the tour, guests enjoyed a variety of refreshments and mingling in the new student lounge.
