Enrollment Reaches 1,000 Students
Utah State University Brigham City student enrollment reaches 1,000 students milestone, more than doubling over the last four years. Utah State University Brigham City has grown from a handful of students in 1981 to over 1,000 in Spring 2004. To help meet the needs of the increasing student enrollment, Utah State University Brigham City has grown from a small renovated home to the current location at 265 West 1100 South. The staff has increased from one employee in 1981 to 20 faculty and staff in 2004, four full-time instructors and two advisors.
Utah State University Brigham City primarily serves the “non-traditional” student who is typically married, works full time, and/or cannot attend classes offered during the day at the Logan campus. Students feel the personal attention they receive and smaller class size offer a positive college experience.
Two associate degrees, six bachelor degrees and thirteen masters programs are currently available at Utah State University Brigham City. Classes are taught by visiting professors from the Logan Campus and local experts in their field. In addition, Utah State University Brigham City offers satellite courses utilizing the latest technology to deliver classes broadcast from professors located at other Utah State University campuses. Internet and print-based classes are also available.
Student enrollment is expected to continue and plans for expansion are under way as Utah State University strives to meet the higher education needs of the community.
